Adoption of perspectives

Forms, forms, and more forms. The background check alone took three weeks. Then there were the fees and licenses. I really started to doubt that it would all come together.

Then today, after the mandatory ninety day waiting period, I finally got to bring them home. It was awkward at first, but once the newness and excitement settled down it was clear that they belonged with me. Everything was going to be okay.

At the dawn of the second day it was decided that names would be in order. So after consulting several books, and some extensive Internet searches, we came up with the perfect sobriquets.

The oldest one would now be called Credence and his little sister would be forever known as Tenacity.

Yes, there were tough times ahead, and much training would be necessary. But at the end of the third  day, my new perspectives were already changing my life for the better.
