ode' to Ken Ludwig

There was to be a moon over buffalo,
I had no idea that it would be mine.
Mr. Ludwig had a hilarious vision,
The over-the-top farcical kind.

Two aging actors, working in rep.
Working and hoping for one last shot.
As the matinee approached, the guests would arrive,
One that was Frank Capra, and one that was not.

Just how would they handle it,
Having this director in their midst.
Would they get the roles of a lifetime?
Or would their careers end up in the pit?

This and many other tales are waiting to be told
At a theatre nearby, why it's just down the road.
Brevard Little Theatre has a seat just for you.
The stage has been set, and my-my what a view.

George Hay is the character, and b2 got the role.
He landed the part, without even selling his soul.
So if solid writing is what you seek, better than this is what you shall find.
To see the show twice, and tell 50 friends, would be ever so kind.

-b2.   (aka- George Hay)
